Bail Bond Company

When you normally see a Bail Bond Company, you mostly notice them with a neon sign in the window that says " bail bonds". Under the law, some people such as inmates can post bonds in three different ways. They can post with a bail bondsmen, cash, and real estate. The most command way is with cash.

When a bail bondsmen pays a inmates bail fee, this will make them responsible for the inmate. Usually the bondsmen charges ten percent of the inmates bail fee. So for example if someone post $200.00 bond with a bondsmen, a $20.00 fee would be charged to the inmate. After the inmate pays the bail bondsmen his fee, he will then pay the $200.00 bond. Once the inmate shows up to all of his court dates, the bondsmen will get his $200.00 back from the court. If a inmate decides not to show up to court, usually the bail bondsmen will hire a bounty hunter to track down the inmate.

When starting a new bail bond company, it can be a very expensive to start up. Many bail bondsmen say that starting a bail bond company is a very interesting business, and you get to hear some really interesting stories. Some bail bondsmen do this a full time business, while others only do it part time. Most of the time when a inmate lives to far out of area, they will skip their court date because they skipped town on the way home. This is one of the reasons why bail bondsmen don't take any inmates that live too far out.

If a bail bondsmen doesn't use a bounty hunter, sometimes they will just work with local law enforcement officers or bring in the inmates themselves. If you ever happen to need a bail bond company, I would recommend looking in your local yellow pages.
