You will need to decide if you need a trucking service, relocation service, household shipping, local mover, pack and stack service, or interstate moving company. Once you find some places to call, I would suggest asking how much experience the packers and drivers have, and how long have they been in business. You may want to ask if they are licensed and regulated. If the company is a member of the Better Business Bureau, I would call and see if any complaints have been filed against the company. If anything has been filed against them, I would check and see how they resolved the complaint.

Final question should be how much do they charge? After you make your calls, decide on which company would work better for you, and choose a mover. Whichever, company you decide to use make sure you read the contract before you sign. Before the movers arrive, make sure you move breakable items and pack separately . Pack all valuables separately, and take them with you when you leave. You will want to make sure you defrost your refrigerator and move trash from garbage cans.
