If you are a truck driver there are many different trucking companies you can choose to work for. In order to work as a truck driver you must go to driving school, and get your del license. You can choose to attend the school full time, or part time. Sometimes you can find a school that offers driving courses on the weekends.

Once you complete driving high school dropouts you can sometimes land a job right out of school. Many trucking companies offer great benefits with great pay. If you have your own truck, some companies will let you be a independent contractor. Being a truck driver can be a fun and great job, but you can become a very lonesome person because, you won't see your family and friends for days at a time. The upside is you will get to travel to many places, and see really great sites.

Along with truck driving involves your tuck sometimes breaking down on the side of the road. This can end up throwing you off hours at a time. Some truck drivers have a tow truck come and pick their truck up, or if they are lucky a 24 hour road service person can be called out to repair your truck.

Flat tires can also slow a truck driver down. Some companies require drivers to change the tires themselves, while others require you to call a mobile tire service. If the tire man isn't already backed up with calls already, he can easily get you going in about two hours.

Mechanic and tire repairs are paid for by the trucking companies. If you're a independent contractor, be prepared to pay these fee's yourself. Along with driving trucks, comes with not getting enough sleep. Most truck drivers park their trucks at a truck stop, and sleep in their trucks at night. As you can see lots of work goes into many trucking companies.
